"But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul." Deuteronomy 4:29
Man sometimes struggles to know God, but God is not far away from those that seek him. On the part of the unsaved, God is willing to reveal himself to those that "seek him with all thy heart and soul." Most usually there is something that keeps men away from God. Some want God but also want to continue in the sin habit. We must be willing to "surrender all," "forsake all," that is sinful. Pride is usually in the way. We are a very prideful people and we do not want to bow down and acknowledge our need for him.
In order to live in our physical state we had to be begotten by an earthly father, conceived by an earthly mother for us to exist in this world. Likewise, in order to exist in the world to come as saved people, we have to be begotten by the Word of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born into the heavenly family. If we try to climb up some other way, we are the same as a thief and a robber. We know the thieves and robbers will have no place in the heavenly kingdom, only the redeemed.
